Core platform rule: The Hub is an information, discovery and advertising platform. Independent businesses provide their own quotations, receive customer payments directly, perform their own work and remain responsible for service delivery, warranties, refunds, complaints and disputes.
The Hub helps users find local information, businesses, jobs, property, community notices and other useful resources. Unless a specific page clearly states otherwise, the Hub is not the provider of services advertised by independent businesses and does not become a party to the service contract between a customer and a provider.
Users choose whether to contact a provider. Providers independently control their pricing, quotations, deposits, payment methods, fulfilment, safety practices, workmanship, warranties, refunds and customer support. Customers should satisfy themselves that a provider is suitable before paying or authorising work.
Third-party service payments should be made directly to the relevant provider using payment details supplied by that provider. A listing or promotional placement on the Hub does not authorise the Hub to collect service payments on the provider's behalf unless a separate service expressly says so.
Compare Quotes Lite is a lead-routing convenience feature. The Hub may route a customer's request to up to 3 participating providers selected by the Hub operator. The Hub does not promise that three providers will respond, does not set provider prices, does not choose a winning provider, and is not a party to the quotation or service agreement between the customer and provider.
Participating providers opt in to receive opportunities and may be paused or blocked from routing without necessarily being removed from the public directory. Providers remain responsible for contacting the customer, quoting, accepting payment, carrying out the work, and handling warranties, refunds, complaints and disputes.
Claimed means the business has taken control of or confirmed its listing details. Verified, where used, must relate only to the factual checks expressly described by the Hub and is not a guarantee of workmanship. Featured means promoted or paid placement and must not be interpreted as verification, endorsement or a promise of quality.
The Hub aims to keep information useful and current, but businesses, opening hours, contact details, prices, availability, jobs, properties, emergency information and community conditions can change. Users should confirm important information with the relevant official source or provider.
Emergency contact information should be sourced and periodically re-verified. The Hub is a convenience layer and not an emergency dispatch service. If a situation is urgent, users should use the appropriate official emergency channel and should not rely on a community webpage as the sole source of emergency assistance.
Pet reports are community information. Submitters must have permission to publish the contact details and images they provide, must avoid publishing private residential addresses, and must not knowingly submit false or misleading reports. Users contact the report poster directly. The Hub does not take custody of animals or guarantee the identity of a person claiming an animal.
Property listings, job notices and third-party links may originate from owners, agents, employers or public sources. Users must verify important details before paying deposits, signing agreements, sending identity documents or acting on a listing.
Users may not use the Hub to impersonate another person or business, publish information they have no right to publish, submit scams or misleading listings, harvest personal information, interfere with the platform, or use the service unlawfully.
The Hub may correct, suspend, archive or remove content where information appears inaccurate, unlawful, unsafe, misleading, outdated or inconsistent with these Terms. A request can be submitted through the correction/removal process.
The Hub is provided as a local information and discovery service and may experience interruptions, errors or outdated third-party information. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator may limit responsibility for losses arising from independent providers or third-party information. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Personal information is handled according to the Hub's Privacy Notice. Users should submit only information necessary for the purpose of the relevant form.
The Hub may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Continued use after an updated version is published is subject to the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
Important: These Terms define the intended operating boundary of the platform. They should be reviewed by a South African attorney before being relied on as final legal advice, particularly once paid listings or larger commercial partnerships begin.
